The General Manager at Wendy's is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of a Wendy's restaurant to ensure quality service, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and management skills to oversee staff, maintain operational standards, and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage restaurant staff, including shift supervisors and crew members.
- Provide effective leadership and create a positive work environment to motivate and retain employees.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
2. Operational Management:
- Ensure all restaurant operations comply with Wendy's policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, and supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
3. Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving customer complaints and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback to improve service and address issues promptly.
4. Financial Management:
- Oversee financial performance, including sales, profit margins, and cost control.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Prepare and manage the restaurant's budget and financial reports.
5. Marketing and Sales:
- Implement local marketing initiatives and promotions to attract and retain customers.
- Analyze sales trends and customer preferences to develop targeted marketing strategies.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified issues.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar managerial role in the food service industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
