Parts Delivery Specialist

Job Description:

In this position, the Delivery Specialist will be in charge of using and maintaining store vehicles to deliver goods to professional customers safely and effectively. Furthermore, the role includes collecting payments for C.O.D. shipments and receiving back products that customers wish to return.

Those proficient in two languages are recommended to put forward their applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Conduct deliveries of company items to clientele using designated vehicles in a secure and productive fashion.
• Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Required to keep vehicles tidy, well-serviced, and conduct daily inspections before use.
• Required to uphold the protection of delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and revenue collected throughout operations.
• Gather customer returns, such as new purchases, warranty items, cores, etc., and complete the driver's return receipt.
• Transmit customer problems or special requests to the appropriate personnel in the store.
• Ensure that the store manager is informed promptly regarding any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage sustained by vehicles.
• Confirm that the vehicle's fuel tank is full and securely lock it at the end of the working day.
• Comply with the procedures for clocking in and out set forth by the organization.
• Further duties as required may involve assisting customers, cleaning, restocking and organizing merchandise, arranging product displays, performing errands, processing returns, receiving and organizing deliveries, and similar tasks.
• May provide occasional support to customers, fulfill cashier roles, and aid with merchandising tasks based on business needs, including tasks like answering phones, sales, and customer service
• Tasks outside of the regular scope of work may be given.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Capacity to promptly correlate alphanumeric combinations.
• Skillful communication aptitude in personal relationships.
• Proficiency in swiftly and competently accommodating changing delivery conditions.
• Compliance with the company's 14/18-point driving record framework is necessary.
• A valid state driver's license and compliance with company driving requirements are obligatory.

Desired:

• Familiar with the workings of automotive components.
• Skill in using different equipment found in a light store.
• Strong language skills in multiple tongues, especially in Spanish.
