Responsible for operating a commercial truck as part of the company's fleet to deliver goods safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations during job performance is crucial.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the safe driving and cleanliness maintenance of company vehicles.
- Carry out the prescribed route plan provided by the company, ensuring to maintain the order of stops, route direction, and roads utilized.
- Adhere to established standards for timely completion of designated running courses.
- Ensure that daily inspections before and after trips are carried out in adherence to FMCSA regulations 396.11 and O'Reilly procedures, and accurately record Hours of Service (HOS) using the telematics technology or paper documentation as directed in Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.
- The merchandise must be delivered to the specified location in accordance with the freight bill, and it is essential to cross-check the store location sticker to guarantee accurate delivery.
- Validate all generated profits and transfer them to the distribution hub.
- The tasks include securing the cargo, inspecting all entrances, and alarms both before and after every stop.
- Carry out the assigned route according to the instructions provided by the supervisor.
- Team members with experience may be designated as trainers. As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties and functions to help ensure the success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
Understanding DOT rules, logbook protocols, and vehicle examination standards is crucial in this field
Keep your driving record free of any infractions and ensure you have an up-to-date DOT physical status
Candidates must successfully clear pre-employment as well as unscheduled drug and alcohol tests
An up-to-date Class A CDL with Hazmat certification is a must
